DevOps Engineer

Position: DevOps Engineer

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Work Type: Permanent

Work Schedule: 5 days Onsite

Our client is a growing financial firm specializing in hedge funds and alternative investments. They pride themselves on employing and developing only the very best talent in the North East, and are looking for both graduates and experienced hires for DevOps Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate infrastructure and environments.
• Manage and maintain CI infrastructure.
• Develop monitoring and diagnostics.
• Deliver end-user automation solutions.

Key Skills:

• PowerShell or scripting, coding in C#, Java, or Python.
• Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
• Docker, Kubernetes/Docker Swarm.
• CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity), monitoring (ELK, Grafana).
• Windows/Linux administration, Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• 2.1 degree in Computer Science or related field (Russell Group preferred).
• Financial Services experience is a bonus.

Preferred:

• Atlassian tools, Artifactory, Octopus Deploy, SonarQube.
• Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), VMware, SAN.
